Krynica Morska is one of the smallest towns on the Polish seaside, however, it is one of the most popular and frequently visited by tourists. It is situated on a narrow strip of land called the Vistula Spit and surrounded by the Baltic Sea to the north and the Vistula Lagoon to the south. It enchants with unique climate, purity and beauty of the local landscape and has always been the tourist venue of choice.

- Last fall, new authorities were elected in the charming town. Panorama asks the newly elected mayor about the development plans for the town.
- First of all, we will support local entrepreneurs, says the mayor. Local residents have a huge potential, which we intend to use. We will promote Krynica Morska on domestic and foreign markets in cooperation with Local Tourism Organization. We will further cooperation with the media by staging 7th Tourism Meeting, Amber Summer, and Teleexpress Day. We are very proud that we have settled the matters related with the lease of the beach. We continue cooperation with Sport Mega Marketing Co., thanks to which in 2005 we were awarded the Blue Flag certificate. Our beach is clean and safe.

- For several years, you have repeatedly won the first place in the small town category of the local government investment rating. In 2005, in the Local Government Golden Hundred rating staged by the Regional Research Center, you have received an honorable mention for the Best Tourism Municipality. In 2004, you were the Leader of Local Government Golden Hundred as the best Tourism Town and the Best Town in the Pomorskie Province. What investments do you plan in the nearest future?
- In cooperation with the Neringa Municipality in Lithuania, we are implementing a project entitled Three Ports. It provides for the preparation of documentation for the construction of a marina in Krynica Morska and Nuda Neringa, which will be co-financed by the EU funds. The town has signed an agreement with LESNER Co. of Gdynia, which helps us prepare EU projects. We hope that thanks to the community funding, our town will become more beautiful and modern.

- Do you have on offer investment sites for prospective investors?
- The Town Council is working on the development of aspatial development plan. At present, Krynica Morska offers for sale two sites situated near the sea designed for services related with tourism, leisure, recreation, biological regeneration and health care, as well as accommodation and catering services. The sites are situated in the most spectacular part of Krynica Morska, along the famous Teleexpress St, on the sea. For more information, please contact the Town Hall.
