Drezdenko Municipality is Changing
|
|
|
|
Over the past few years, the
share of investment expenses in the budget of
the Drezdenko Town and Municipality has reached
approximately 30%. This level was exceeded in
2004 and 2005 when the municipality obtained significant
investment-related subsidies for improving communal
infrastructure as part of IOPRD.
The growing investment-related funds will persist
in the following years of the new EU financing
period.

Already in Quarter4 of 2007 tenders will be
staged for building and expanding water intake
in the village of Drawiny, construction of sanitary
sewage system, installing a lighting system and
new road surfaces and pavements in the village
of Trzebicz. After many years of anticipation,
two new municipal housing estates (Południe and
11 Listopada estates) will be provided with utilities
within 3 years. On top of the purely social nature
of these investments, they will also allow for
the provision of utilities for other housing construction
purposes and will provide necessary infrastructure
to grounds earmarked for industrial sites in the
local spatial development plan.

Bearing in mind the town's unique architecture,
reconstruction of Kościelny Square in 2008-2009
gains due importance. The plans provide for reconstructing
the original architectural arrangement, upgrading
the adjacent streets and pavements and installing
stylized lighting.
In Quarter4 of this year, the municipality will
apply to the Lubuski Regional Operating Program
for subsidising installation of a sanitary sewage
system in the north of Drezdenko in the years
2008-2010. This will be the second stage of works
commenced and concluded at stage one in 2004-2006
with funds from the Integrated Regional Operational
Programme. The project has become a priority for
the Lubuskie Province
As part of town revitalization program, two historic
buildings located at Marszałkowska St. and Kościelny
Square will be renovated.
On top of works on upgrading the municipality's
rural roads, already in progress for several years,
as of 2008 the municipality is planning works
on two roads Zagórze -Lubiewo and Lipno-Niegosław,
the responsibility for which the municipality
has taken-over recently.
The key communal investments planned for 2008
and 2009 include construction of the LMG Headquarters
and developing crude oil and natural gas deposits
discovered in the Noteć Forest as well as commencing
construction of the Drezdenko bypass. This investment,
so important due to the increasing vehicle traffic,
administered by the Provincial Roads Management
in Zielona Góra, was subsidized by the municipality
with PLN 1 million at the stage of preparations.
The funds covered the costs of changes to the
local spatial development plan, developing the
beltway and buyout of some grounds along the future
beltway.
In 2008, documentation for further investment
tasks will be developed; implementation will be
possible since 2010 due to the time needed for
developing the documentation and obtaining relevant
permits. The investment consists primarily in
the construction of water supply and sewerage
systems in Lipki Wielkie and sewerage system for
villages of Lipno, Niegosław and Gościm.
Drezdenko authorities recognize the importance
of the inhabitants' relaxation and recreation.
Documentation for a village green and a park located
at Kopernika Street has been developed at the
cost of nearly PLN 90,000.
