 We offer you a well-developed infrastructure and public utilities, and the local administration supports investors and looks after the welfare of new companies.  Trust the city's potential, just as many have already done by bringing their investment capital here, include Dutch, German, and French investors.  Many renowned companies are already here, participating in the town's growth.
 One of these is the Rehau company, a producer of highly advanced technical products made from polymers, which began its investment in Śrem in 1998.  To date, it has invested PLN 38 million in its facility here.
 In 1997, Weco Polska Sp. z o.o.,  which produces upholstered furniture, started it operations in Śrem, as well.  80% of its products are exported to markets in Western Europe. The infrastructure and location of the region have been important reasons for choosing to base the company in Śrem.  Cooperation with town authorities has resulted in significant investment: in 1999, one company bought an 8000 m2 production facility, which is proof of its intention to move to Śrem for good and become an integral part of the town.  For more than 30 years, the Odlewnia Żeliwa Śrem S.A. steel foundry has operated in Śrem, exporting 55% of its products to Germany, Holland, Italy, France, Great Britain and Scandinavia.  The Odlewnia Żeliwa Śrem S.A. is among the largest Polish exporters to the European Union.  An ISO 9002 certificate confirms its prestige.
 Additional evidence that Śrem is worth investing in is the success of Defor S.A., a leading producer in Wielkopolska of joinery and aluminum facades.  Here, too, the ISO 9002 Quality Certificate is evidence of the high quality of the company's products.  A partner of the company is Goyer S.A. - one of the largest producers of aluminum facades in France, whose initial capital was nearly PLN 6.5 billion.  In the municipality, the international transport, textile, clothing, chemical, construction, and foodstuffs industries are all highly developed.  In all, there are 3200 companies doing business in the municipality.  In addition, here you will find land to build on and help in overcoming organizational and legal hurdles.
 Local authorities are open to contact with those from abroad. Cooperation is rapidly developing with the town's sister cities, Bergen near Hannover in Germany and Roznovem in the Czech Republic, for example, with whom the town also shares its experience in the areas of culture, sports, and education. Śrem has also initiated partnership contacts with the town of Morges in Switzerland.
Town officials look after the good name of the town.  The Town Hall in Śrem is one of the few in Poland to implement a quality management system, which will soon result in its receiving an ISO 9002 quality certificate in the area of services offered by the local administration.  Moreover, to guarantee the growth of the town, officials have decided to issue municipal bonds, which shows efficiency of the municipal offices in maintaining good fiscal order and clearly indicate the goals it has set for economic growth.  And here Śrem is among the leaders, since of the 2500 municipalities in Poland, only 60 can pride themselves in having achieved such investment means to date.

 FOR TOURISTS: a trip to Śrem is a bullseye. Awaiting you are picturesque corners of Wielkopolska, with well-developed sports recreation facilities, a charming old town, lakes, noble manors and palaces, ancient, monumental oak trees, and the idyllic scenery of the Warta valley.
 There are numerous bicycle paths running through the area, and lovers of bicycle excursions, the treasures of nature, and architecture will be delighted.  In 1995, Śrem was recognized as one of the most ecological combined urban and rural municipalities in Poland.  Here you will find priceless marshy woods, where you can see 100 species of birds, and even beavers.  Splendid manors and palaces create a truly Polish landscape, signposts of Wielkopolska.  You will never forget these views!  There are also a number of farm tourism facilities in the municipality, a fantastic attraction for those who are weary of the frantic pace of city life.  Nowhere else will you find better chances to enjoy idle pleasures, like taking pony rides and breathing "real" air.
 The area also includes equestrian centers.  In Andrzejówka, not far from Śrem, you can reside in a historic manor house with an authentic interior.  Here, you can practice horseback riding and play tennis. Śrem also has an indoor swimming pool, a bowling alley, fitness center, shooting range, sports stadiums, and charming bars and restaurants that pulse with life at night, with a tempting local atmosphere and the specialties of Wielkopolska's brewery.
