- A GREAT PLACE FOR YOUR INVESTMENT!

The Kostrzyn-Słubice Special
Economic Zone, an organization created in order
to attract investors in the field of building
production plants within the territory of Poland,
was established by the ordinance of the Council
of Ministers in 1997. It is one of the latest
zones in Poland with most development potential.
The main highlights of the Zone include a perfect
geographical location - on the border with Germany
(and thus with the European Union), as well as
a very attractive system of tax relief and allowances.
Additionally, the Zone is complemented by a well-developed
technical infrastructure, a well-qualified workforce
and broad possibilities of cooperation with companies
from the Lubuskie and Brandenburg (Germany) Regions.
Moreover, the Zone constitutes a visiting card
for our country for tourists entering the largest
border crossings on Polands western border in
Świecko, Słubice and Kostrzyn on the Odra River.

The income earned on business activities carried
out within the zone is exempt from income tax.
The amount of the corporate income tax relief
is defined in the decree regarding the establishment
of the Kostrzyn-Słubice Special Economic Zone
and is in compliance with the law on public support
to entrepreneurs. Every investor interested in
the regional assistance must obtain a permit for
conducting business operations in the zone and
meet its conditions. The investor chooses on what
basis he qualifies for the assistance - because
of investment outlays or created new job positions.
Regional assistance is offered in the form of
tax exemptions and is in line with the European
Union standards. The value of granted assistance
must not exceed 50% of the initial investment
outlays (if regional assistance is rendered to
investor on the basis of investment outlays) or
50% of two-years labor costs (if it is provided
on the basis of created new job positions). Small
and medium-sized companies are offered even greater
assistance. Its maximum value is increased by
15% to reach a total of 65%. In fact, the amount
of public support is based on calculation of the
three major groups of costs: land purchase, spending
for structures and buildings and expenditures
on equipment.
The minimum investment outlays for the zone amount
to EUR 100,000.
All privileges enacted by the Polish government
and the location offered by our Zone seem to be
a guarantee of the investors success. So far,
the Management Board has issued 57 permits and
plans on issuing the next permits soon. Among
those who received a permit to operate within
the Zone are companies from Croatia, Italy, Germany,
the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden and Poland.
The Zone offers its assistance with application
procedures as well as searching for contractors,
partners and experienced staff.
