The essence of Total Heat is assuming full responsibility for the production and supply of safe heat produced with the use of energy-saving technologies and in conditions that are environmentally friendly. Moreover, the heat producer and supplier offers a wide array of complementary services and solutions designed to rationalize the use of energy and optimize heating costs.
Total Heat stands not only for the production and delivery of energy, but also for funds for investments in turnkey projects related to sources of energy. The service is aimed mainly at the owners of obsolete and ineffective coal-fueled boiler houses who do not have funds for their modernization. But owners of new boiler houses, for whom energy production is not the core business, also often opt for the Total Heat service.
Total Heat is a reliable solution that is winning a growing number of supporters.
In Sweden, approx. 860 Total Heat plants produce nearly
2,410,000 GJ of heating energy per year.
In Poland, heat engineering companies in which Sydkraft AB concern is a majority shareholder provide Total Heat service. In the last two years, the Sydkraft Term Company in Poznań has established more than a dozen Total Heat plants in western Poland, and new investments are under way. The majority of these boiler houses provide heat to residential buildings, but it also has hospitals and industrial plants among its clients.
Sydkraft EC Słupsk and Sydkraft Złotów, which until recently have been typical municipal heat engineering companies, are expanding their operations to provide Total Heat service in Pomorze and the northern Wielkopolska region. Sydkraft holds approx. 70% of the shares in the two companies.
Ostrowski Zakład Ciepłow-niczy S.A (Heat Engineering Company in Ostrów - OZC), in which Sydkraft holds 49% of the shares, provides heat to nearly 36,000 Ostrów residents, which constitutes almost 40% of the total demand in the city. The company also operates in the region. While implementing its strategy of renewable energy development, OZC operates and manages three bio-mass fueled boiler houses and uses more than 2,000 tones of straw per year to produce energy.
In cooperation with Sydkraft, Ostrowski Zakład Ciepło-wniczy intends to make investments in Total Heat service regarding renewable fuels, i.e. timber biomass. The concern and Ostrów Company intend to build a heat and power plant fueled with chips and other timber components.
