Kaszubska Municipality

- Does Dębnica Kaszubska benefit
from its attractive location in the popular tourist
region of Kaszuby?
- Due to its natural properties, the municipality
constitutes a part of the Dolina Słupia Landscape
Park, and we are expanding recreation facilities
in the area. The municipality earns income from
the tourist sector, and for this reason we want
to create possibly the best conditions for investments.

- Are the investments about to be made designed
to make Dębnica a typical tourist municipality
or do you also lobby for the expansion of the
industrial sector?
- The Dębnica Kaszubska Municipality, with an
area of 30,002 ha, natural properties and a well-developed
infrastructure offers very good conditions for
comprehensive development. The Dębnica Kaszubska
Region, which is located only 12 km from Słupsk,
is on one hand predestined for the development
of crafts, small production, and industry that
is not harmful to the environment and, on the
other hand able to serve as a bedroom community
for Słupsk, as the municipality has several hundred
construction plots provided with all utilities
and located near a forest on offer. With the use
of SAPARD Program funds, a long-term investment
plan for the reorganization of waste and sewage
management is being implemented. As part of the
plan, in 2004, the waste and sewage systems will
be built in Dębnica Kaszubska and connected with
Krzywań and Grabin. Thanks to a good relationship
with the Gdańsk Division of the Agricultural Property
Agency (Agencja Nieruchomości Rolnych), we will
take over the infrastructure managed by that Agency.
- To many cities and municipalities managing
schools is a real Achilles heel, but you have
built a modern junior high school.
- But, we need to repay the costs of this investment
and the construction of our sports and entertainment
hall, which is quite a challenge. However, we
have enough strength to deal with all these tasks,
as well as the support of the Town Council and
our other friends.
