ALEKSANDRÓW ŁÓDZKI: VISIT IT, TAKE A LOOK - YOU WILL LOVE IT

wersja polska

The degree of appeal a town or a municipality has usually depends on whether the place is conveniently located on transportation routes. In Aleksandrów Łódzki's case it is not only because of the town's location in central Poland at a crossroads of main national roads and the proximity of the urban agglomeration of Łódź that the place is considered particularly attractive to business. The town offers vast potential for growth, to mention the former airport area, which has not yet been developed. This area of 51 ha is intended for any kind of business activity. By the end of the year, it will have been connected to all utilities. In addition, local authorities create business-friendly environment for those with entrepreneurial and creative spirit. The levels of corporate and real estate taxes have not gone up for three years. The areas intended for business development have a clear legal status and their designation is provided for in the official plan for the municipality's development.

FIRST, DEVELOPMENT

Among Aleksandrów Łódzki's assets are well-developed water supply network, a consistently expanded sewage system, which carries sewage away to a modern sewage treatment plant, public transportation connecting Aleksandrów Łódzki with downtown Łódź and inexpensive prices of land. "The mobility, enterpreneurship, energy and managerial skills shown by local residents coupled with business-friendly environment created by municipal government will surely soon lead to the municipality's dynamic development", says Jacek Lipiński, mayor of Aleksandrów Łódzki.

SECOND, RECREATION

"What is more, I believe that Aleksandrów Łódzki's growing attractiveness will encourage tourists to spend unforgettable moments in our municipality", adds mayor Lipiński. In the western part of the municipality, an artificial lake known as "Zalew Zgniłe Błoto" is being built. The lake is created by connecting several ponds. Its beauty is breath-taking and makes one feel like going boating, yachting, pedal-boating or canoeing - all of it possible here. In addition, the whole municipality will soon be covered with a network of cycling routes, which is due to be connected with the trans-provincial network in 2006. The "Do gorących źródeł" cycling route, which runs across the municipality of Aleksandrów Łódzki, takes you through 152 km of picturesque landscape. In wet weather, you can enjoy physical recreation at the indoor swimming pool called "Olimpijczyk" or at the sports hall. The "Olimpijczyk" compound houses an 25x12.5 m and 1.2 to 1.8 m deep Olympic-size pool, a recreation pool with dimensions 12x4 m and 0.6 to 0.9 deep, as well as a 76 m long three-level spiral chute. One can also indulge in a fitness club at the compound, enjoy a hydro-massage, a Jacuzzi, an artificial geyser and a sauna. Visitors have also a café and a parking lot at their disposal. As for the sports hall with dimensions 48x25x18 m, it makes a perfect venue for mass sports events. In each of its three sections, there is a volleyball and basketball court as well as an indoor football pitch.
