Województwo Opolskie jest atrakcyjne nie tylko dla turystów, ale również dla inwestorów.
Ogromnym atutem naszego regionu jest jego położenie na trasie korytarza transeuropejskiego Bruksela - Kijów. Od południa graniczymy z Czechami, z którymi region ma bardzo dobre poł ączenie poprzez 4  międzynarodowe przejścia graniczne i bogatą sieć  przejść małego ruchu granicznego.
Wysoką pozycję w kraju region opolski osiągnął dzięki stabilności regionalnej gospodarki oraz integracji wielokulturowej wspólnoty jego mieszkańców. 

STABILNA GOSPODARKA
Opolska gospodarka to stabilny przemysł i zaliczane do najlepiej rozwiniętych w kraju rolnictwo. W województwie opolskim działa 19 gałęzi przemysłu. Dominującą pozycję zajmują: paliwowo- energetyczny, chemiczny, cementowo- wapienniczy, mineralny, lekki i spożywczy. Region opolski lokuje się w krajowej czołówce województw osiągaj ących najwyższą dynamikę produkcji sprzedanej przemysłu (patrz mapa).
Opolski przemysł słynie w kraju dzięki wielu wyrobom. Największy udział w produkcji krajowej mają: porcelit sto łowy (74% produkcji krajowej), koks z węgla kamiennego, cement, skóry gotowe miękkie, aparaty, maszyny i  urządzenia do procesów chemicznych i przetwórstwa produktów chemicznych, oraz amoniak gazowy syntetyczny.

DOBRY KLIMAT DLA ROLNICTWA
Na wysoką pozycję opolskiego rolnictwa wpływają dobre warunki przyrodniczo - glebowe oraz  tradycje, gospodarność i pracowitość śląskich rolników. Opolskie charakteryzuje się najdłuższym okresem wegetacyjnym roślin, a tutejszy klimat należy do najcieplejszych w kraju, stąd ponad 60% powierzchni regionu to użytki rolne.
 Wartość produkcji rolnictwa w 1999 roku, w przeliczeniu na 1 ha użytków rolnych była wyż-sza od średniej krajowej o 18%  (3 lokata  w rankingu województw). Opolskie znajduje się również na pierwszym miejscu pod względem plonów uzyskiwanych z 1 ha. Jednakże wieś opolska to nie tylko rolnictwo. Walory klimatyczne i przyrodnicze pozwalają rozwijać się tu również agroturystyce.
 Ogromną rolę w rozwoju obszarów wiejskich naszego regionu spełnia także, unikatowy w skali kraju program "Odnowa Wsi". Mamy nadzieję, że przedstawione pokrótce atuty naszego regionu pomogą Państwu wybrać zarówno miejsce wakacyjnych wypraw, jak i realizacji planów i zamierzeń inwestycyjnych.

Dear Friends,

 I would like to invite and welcome you to the Opole Voivodeship, rightly called by its inhabitants a "Region of good neighbours."
This phrase is an apt description, expressing what is most important for those living here, as well as for tourists visiting us, and most of all, for our neighbours.
 We would like to invite those who enjoy an active vacation as well as potential investors to our region.
 Tourists are attracted to our Region not only because of the low prices here, but also due to the high standard of the services offered and the favorable climate, which is among the most pleasant in Poland. You can therefore relax here both summer and winter.
 The Opawa Mountains are certainly worth visiting, particularly the landscape park there. Other attractive vacation sites in the Region include the areas surrounding our three lakes: Otmuchowskie, Turawskie, and Głębinowskie.
 For fans of hiking and cycling jaunts, we propose a trip along one of our specially marked and picturesque trails.
 For history lovers, we suggest a visit to our numerous historic castles and palaces, such as the Piast Castle in Brzeg or the Castle in Otmuchów, where you can also see the only stairs for horses in Europe, or perhaps the Palace in Moszna, where your stay can be enriched with a horseback ride if you take advantage of the services of the nearby stables.  Information on our Region and our tourist offer can be found on our web site.

The Opole Voivodeship is not only attractive in terms of tourism, but in terms of investment, as well.
One of our Region's greatest assets is its location along the trans-European Brussels-Kiev transportation route. To the south we border the Czech Republic, with which we are well linked thanks to our four international border crossings and a large number of border crossings for foot traffic.
The high ranking that the Opole Region enjoys nationally has been achieved due to the stability of the regional economy and the integration of its inhabitants into a multi-cultural community.

A STABLE ECONOMY
The Opole Region's economy boasts of a stable industrial base and an agricultural sector that is among the most highly developed in the country. Overall, 19 different branches of industry are represented in the Opole Voivodeship. The most dominant include the fuel and energy, chemical, cement and lime, mineral, food, and assorted light industries.  The Opole Region has achieved one of the most dynamic growth rates in industrial sales nationally (see map).
The Opole Region's industry is famous throughout Poland for many reasons.  It produces the largest share of china tableware in Poland (74% of national production), coke from hard coal, cement, soft ready leather, apparatus and machinery for chemical processes and processing chemical products, and synthetic ammonia gas.

A GOOD CLIMATE FOR AGRICULTURE
Favorable climatic conditions and good soil, as well as the Silesian farmers' tradition of hospitality and diligence, also have a beneficial influence on the high ranking of the Opole Region's agriculture.
The Opole Region is characterized by its long period of vegetation, and its climate is among the warmest in Poland.  For these reasons, more than 60% of its land is used for agriculture.
The value of its agricultural production in 1999 per hectare of farmland was 18% higher than the national average (3rd place in a ranking of voivodeships).
Moreover, the Opole Region is first in Poland in terms of yield per hectare.
However, the Opole Region's countryside is more than farms.  Its climatic and natural assets have helped agritourism to flourish, as well.
A significant role in the growth of the rural areas in our Region is played by our "Renewal of the Countryside" program, the only one of its kind nationally.
